For some people, car ownership is an obsession. Everything has to be perfect, even if it means hundreds of man-hours to make it so. Larry Kosilla, founder of detailing products maker AMMO, is one of those people. Watch how obsessively he restored his vintage Porsche to concours-level perfection.
Kosilla bought his 964-generation 911 Carrera 4 as a summer track car and winter driver. For a few years, Kosilla drove the car to HPDE events all along the east coast, but for the last five months, it’s been under the knife for a full strip-down restoration to repair the extensive rust and paint issues that came with this heavy use.

Kosilla says this video, posted to his YouTube channel, is only a quick overview of the 20-plus hours of footage he’s accumulated documenting the car’s restoration. The video depicts the paint removal, rust removal, and repainting processes, and eventually, the final result is revealed. If you’re into restoration videos, this is the one to watch.
