Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda is recently busy with its mid-size SUV “Skoda Kodiak” production, which is planned to be launched at Paris motor show in October 2016. It will be based on MQB platform, on which many VAG products are based. Initially this car was known by the name Skoda Snowman and Skoda Polar but now Autobolg reports has confirmed its name as “Skoda Kodiak”.
Skoda Kodiak Price and launch Date
No official word from Skoda is given about the prices, but an estimated Skoda Kodiak price of the model is Rs. 20.27 Lakhs. It is expected that the Kodiak can arrive or we can say that is can be officially reveal at the Paris show which is to be held on 2016.In India, it is expected to arrive in 2017.
Features and designing of Skoda Kodiak
As mentioned above, that this car will be based on MQB platform, and if rumours are to be believed, than this car will have its features similar to the upcoming second generation Volkswagen Tiguan XL. Reports say that this car is in final touch phase and it expected to be around 4.75metres long. It can have sharp creases on the body and an angular figure. It may have the feature front-wheel drive as standard. Kodiak will be available in both variants a five seater and a seven seater variant. The car may also get features like start-stop system, cylinder deactivation etc for its petrol model. So, one can expect more mature designing as compared to Skoda Yeti in Skoda Kodiak.
Engine specifications of Skoda Kodiak
Engines of Octavia and Superb are expected to power Kodiak. Its 2.0-litre TDI and 1.8-litre TSI engines may supply energy to this Skoda model. Additionally, an AWD option will be available along with either seven-speed DSG or a six-speed manual transmission system.
