The new 2017 Nissan GT-R has improved in many ways and its increased base price reflects that. Nissan today announced the 2017 GT-R Premium will carry a starting MSRP of $111,585, which includes the $1,595 destination charge.
That represents a price jump of $8,220 compared to the 2016 Nissan GT-R premium. The 2017 GT-R will be offered in three other trim levels including the 600-hp GT-R Nismo, but pricing for those models will come at a later time.
There are few options for the GT-R. Customers can opt for Super Silver paint priced at $3,000, while Blaze Metallic (a new orange metallic hue) and Pearl White command a premium of $1,000. A Premium Interior Package that includes semi-Aniline leather costs $4,000 and can be hand in Amber, Ivory, or Rakuka Tan. Floor mats costing $295 round off the options list.
As previously reported, the 2017 GT-R has improved inside and out. Its 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V-6 is slightly more powerful at 565 hp and 467 lb-ft of torque, while its chassis has been stiffened and its gearbox retuned for smoother shifts. The interior is better, too, with a redesigned cockpit and improved materials.
Nissan recently unveiled the GT-R Nismo, which benefits from the same improvements as the GT-R Premium, but is tuned for track duty and produces 600 hp.
