Datsun, the budgeted car of Nissan has revealed the concept and teaser images of its new Datsun Go Cross at ahead of auto expo 2016. Past cars of Datsun, that is Datsun Go, and Go+, got lukewarm response in Indian market and were failed to attract car buyers. So learning from the mistakes of past, drastic changes are made this time. Datsung go-cross first look is quite impressive and it will be based on GO+ MPV platform.

This car launch date may take palace in mid of 2016, and It is hard to predict datsun go cross price, but expected price of go-cross can be from 4.5 lakh to 7 lakh. This vehicle will have high ground clearance and bold silhouette which will make it look more of a SUV than a crossover.

Although Datsun hasn’t announced the engine specifications of datusn go-cross yet, but expected engines could powered by 1.2-liter 3-cylinder DOHC 12-valve motor from the GO or a completely new diesel motor is also expected. Engine is capable of producing power of 64.1 bhp @5000 rpm and torque of 140Nm @4000 rmp .Power transmission can be done by a 5-speed manual transmission.

Talking about the exterior designing and specification, then Datsun Go cross exterior have decent front with sharply styled headlamps, auxiliary circular lamps, LED fog lights and many more. Its side profile is equipped with pair of chrome finished wheels, roof rails and Silver lower body cladding. Moreover the rear end of the car are very different from GO+ MPV and GO hatchback. It will be accompanied by silver diffuser, LED taillight etc. It is expected in 5 seater and 7 seating capacity, but will launch first in 5 seating capacity go cross in Indian market. If we talk about interior of GO+ is not appreciably in market, So Go Cross interior could be better compare to current running model of datusn. Still there is no official announcement and revealed for datsun go-cross interior images and spy images.

Datsun Go Cross will be a fuel efficient car and can provide mileage 18kmpl – 20kmpl (estimated). This car will be based on highly localised low cost platform. And it will be rivaling against Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Eon Sportz etc.
