On August 27, Bryce Menzies’ and his 900 horsepower Pro 2 off-road truck will hit a ramp at high speed to fly over a ghost town in New Mexico. If you remember what happened to Guerlain Chicherit’s Mini during his similar record attempt a couple of years ago, you know how dangerous this is.

To make Menzies’ truck ready for those high altitudes, his team head to replace the carburetors with injectors, change the weight balance of the truck as well as the suspension tune, and put quite a bit more pressure into those grippy tires.

With the test jumps successfully completed, all they have to do now is watch how Tanner Foust set his record of 332 feet for Hot Wheels in 2011, and make sure to stay in the air just a little bit longer.
