Hyundai India has revealed its new car concept “Hyundai Carlino”. Carlino will be sub-compact SUV whose concept was revealed in Auto Expo 2016.Hyundai, in its interview said that Carlino concept was penned down at Namyang design center which is situated in Korea, and this design was made considering Indian Market.

No specific price is announced or estimated, but this car will be a small SUV, Expected price range 8.5 to 12 lakhs. so it is for those who are looking for an affordable small SUV. It will launch in 2017 in India.

Hyundai Carlino Specification

If we talk about specifications of then, Carlino will be sharing the platform of i20 hatchback. Its concept is inspired from Hyundai HND14 and this car will be placed below by the company. Its designing will be based Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy. No videos or pics of the interior of Hyundai Carlino is revealed, but according to its concept that believes in togetherness of function, fashion and the latest technologies , this car will be embedded will plenty of features.

Hyundai Carlino Engine specifications

Again, no engine specifications are revealed by the Korean manufacturers, but we are expecting 1.2-litre Kappa2 petrol engine and 1.4-litre CRDi U2 diesel engine, since the car will be based on i20 hatchback. The former petrol engine can deliver maximum power and torque of 82bhp and 115Nm and the later diesel engine can chunk maximum of 89bhp power and 220Nm torque. 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission engine can be mated to the engines as a transmission system.

As told before, till now nothing is said about the interior of this Hyundai model, but we are expected a lot of features like interchangeable audio, wireless rear view camera, visual and navigation units, six airbags, push-button start and many more.

In the presentation that was shown at Auto Expo, features like large rugged wheels, LED daytime running lights, roof carriers, squarish taillights, futuristic headlights, rear skid plates, side air intakes, were noticed in an orange shaded Carlino. It will have a new signature Hyundai Grille and its side and rear views has the glimpse of Hyundai Creta.

Its expected competitors are Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Virara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra TUV300.
