Ram Trucks and Mopar are teaming up to create the limited edition 2016 Mopar Ram Rebel, which will feature a number of performance and cosmetic enhancements. Only 500 units will be produced, and will be at select dealerships starting this summer with a starting price of $53,655 (including the $1,195 destination fee).
Marking the first limited edition Mopar-modified vehicle in the truck segment, the Mopar Ram Rebel will ride on 17-inch satin black wheels, feature a black front bumper skid plate, a skid plate to protect the power steering unit, and a serialized badge. Mopar builds upon the Ram 1500 4X4 Rebel Crew Cab and will offer the limited edition model in either Flame Red/Brilliant Black two-tone paint or a Brilliant Black monotone finish.
“The new Ram Rebel has been a solid addition to the Ram lineup, providing customers with a truck that can deliver the added capability that their active lifestyles demand,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand, FCA Global, in a statement. “The Mopar ’16 content illustrates how customers can easily personalize a Ram truck with factory backed accessories.”
The Mopar Custom Shop package for the Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel will include aluminum, dual bezel sport performance hood embellishments with a matte black hood graphic, fender flares, and Mopar blue-and-black graphic stripe accents on the sides and tailgate. Along with the additions from Mopar, additional parts and accessories will be available at dealerships for further customization options.
