Nissan X-Trail Revealed at Auto Expo 2016

“Nissan X-Trail “which was about to launch on Diwali 2015, was cancelled due to some internal reasons and now it will rescheduled to launch at 2016 Auto Expo. It is a third generation of Nissan X Trail which was good yet unsuccessful car of Nissan. The SUV was eliminated in 2014 from the market as it was unable to attract buyers. And now Nissan is planning to launch a third generation of Nissan X Trail, according to reports. This model of Nissan will be based on the architecture of Renault-Nissan’s Common Module Family (CMF) which is totally new to India.

Nissan X Trail Price in India

Expected price of this SUV car is Rs 32-35 lakhs and it will be 4,640 mm long, 1,820 mm wide, and 1,720 high. Its wheelbase will be 2,705 mm and it will be coming via CKD route.

Yet company not revealed launch date in Indian market. But it is expected to launch in India Mid of 2016.

Nissan X Trail Engine

Coming to power specifications, Nissan can power its petrol variant with either 2.0 liter petrol engine (which can be mated with manual or CVT transmission) or with 2.5 liter petrol engine. This time, diesel option may also be provided that can be powered by 2.0-liter DCi diesel. Speed manual or CVT gearbox is expected as a transmission option.

Nissan X Trail Specifications

Talking about the looks, then the new Nissan X Trail is based on Nissan’s latest design philosophy. It will be a seven seater car with the boot space of 550 litres. Features like electrically adjustable seats, Active Traction Control, dual-zone climate control system, Active Engine Brake, Active Ride Control, 7-inch Nissan Connect infotainment system, Hill Descent Control, 4 airbags etc are expected to be present. Its feature Active Ride control will make the drive comfortable by adjusting suspension of car accordingly.

Coming to the competitors, then cars like Honda CR-V, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Toyota Fortuner will be giving Nissan X Trail a stiff competition.
