The 22,000-square-foot dealership put up photos and graphics explaining what the animal shelter does for furry friends and included a touchscreen device that shows viewers videos and slideshows of adoptable animals awaiting homes, as well as donation suggestions to help the shelter.

SANTA FE, New Mexico Subaru of Santa Fe unveiled a permanent interactive community-involvement display at its June 9 grand opening, where it focuses on its pet projects, including the Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society.

Subaru of Santa Fe also gave the shelter $42,000 at the unveiling.

“We think people want to do business with companies that care, so it’s important to give back because it’s not all about making profit,” managing partner and general manager Jason Bass told Edmunds.

The permanent display also will highlight the Santa Fe Conservation Trust and the Adaptive Sports Program soon.

“These organizations mean a lot to me and reflect our lifestyle and the things that we do, so we work a lot with them,” Bass said.

Consumers are noticing.

“Sales are skyrocketing and we’re hiring in every department,” he said.

Edmunds says: This dealership’s generous spirit does not go unnoticed in the local community.
