The absurdity? The guy climbing around on the back of a moving car as if he were a biplane acrobat? Sure, driving around a track at incredible speeds is a fun time. But where’s the whimsy?
This is F1 sidecar racing from Britain, which is exactly what it sounds like. One guy drives the car while another rides alongside. He isn’t just enjoying the view, though. Watch the clip and you’ll see the passengers clamber all over the back of the vehicle, changing the car’s weight dynamics through the corners.
Maybe this is what NASCAR needs: a buddy system.
