The now-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans first took place in 1923

Heading into this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans race, we’ve already shown you the spotters’ guide for this year’s competitors. But what about past cars? The team at London marketing firm Big Group has got you covered there and has compiled a graphic of the winner of every previous Le Mans race.

The now-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans first took place in 1923, making it the oldest event in endurance racing. It’s a brutal test of not only a car’s performance and reliability but each driver’s, as well.
