Late last year, Lamborghini confirmed that it would add more models to the Huracan lineup, which has the potential to become bigger than the Gallardo’s lineup. Now, we’ve caught the Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera testing in full camouflage at the Nürburgring.
Lamborghini hasn’t confirmed that it will use the Superleggera name for the newest addition to the Huracan lineup, but if the naming scheme is in keeping with the Gallardo lineup, we expect the new variant to wear that moniker.
Lamborghini has given the Superleggera major updates over the standard Huracan, including a big fixed rear wing and more aggressive front spoiler, both of which help with the aerodynamics and downforce for the new model. We even get a glimpse of the exhaust pipes mounted in a higher position just below the taillights.
In addition to the new design elements and aero bits, the new Huracan model is expected to get a power bump, with total power from massaged 5.2-liter V-10 close to the 650-hp mark. The boost in output combined with significant weight savings should make for an even quicker baby-bull. The first production Huracan Superleggera will be a coupe, while a Spyder version will follow, and may get the Performante title, if it follows what Lamborghini did with the Gallardo model.
