Aaron Raher and His Father Richard Was the Body Shell and Naked Frame from a 1957 Chevrolet 210

Aaron Raher and his father Richard was the body shell and naked frame from a 1957 Chevrolet 210.

They found another car to use for parts, and got to work in their garage. It’s a mild build—just minor improvements to the original 283 V8 like new headers and cams. It took two and a half years, though when Aaron got deployed to Iraq, his dad Richard, a Vietnam veteran, handled the work himself. Eventually, they finished the car, and Aaron’s been driving it for the last six years.

The Rahers got the ride of their lives when they brought their project by Jay Leno’s Garage. Like the rest of us, Leno appreciates a family project car—especially when the family behind it has served their country for multiple generations.
